Hard Apple Cider Moscow Mule โ A fall twist on a Moscow Mule made with hard apple cider and ginger beer! Refreshing and they go down easily!
Easy Fall Cocktail Recipe
Apple cider is one of my favorite things about this time of year.ย And after trying thisย twist on the Moscow mule, I think youโll agree that fall never tasted better.
The apple cider mule is refreshing, zippy, and ginger and apples are such a perfect pairing.
Serve your fall Moscow Mules in copper mugs if you have them. Otherwise a big glass will do!
What’s in an Apple Cider Moscow Mule?
To make this apple cider mule, you’ll need:
- Ice cubes
- Hard apple cider
- Ginger beer (non-alcoholic)
- Cinnamon sticks
- Apple
How to Make an Apple Cider Moscow Mule
One of the reasons I think this is the best fall cocktail is because it’s so easy to make! Simply add ice to a glass (or a copper mug), then top it off with the hard apple cider and ginger beer.
Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks.
What’s the Best Ginger Beer for a Moscow Mule?
I prefer using Fever Tree ginger beer in my Moscow Mules, as it has a strong but pure ginger flavor. It doesn’t taste fake at all and the flavor is just right.
What Hard Cider Should I Use?
I used Strongbow hard apple cider, but you may use any brand you’d like.
Tips for Making an Apple Cider Mule
I do not recommend making this fall cocktail in advance. The cider will lose its carbonation and the cocktail will taste flat.
I used a non-alcoholic ginger beer in this cocktail recipe, otherwise the drink would have been pure alcohol.
I prefer serving this apple Moscow Mule chilled over ice. It’s so refreshing that way!

So yummy! I LOVE apples. I recently just posted an apple butter recipe on my blog. My inner-domestic goddess doesn’t show up but looking at your recipe inspiration sparks the cooking urges! Great post.
Well done Averie! Loving the dark photo and the flavors here. Cheers!
Thanks, Brandon! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
That photo is fabulous, not your usual style, Averie, but I love it and I love this recipe. I’d love to sip on this now! Have a great week!
It’s Evite’s photo! I credited them; they wanted me to use it. So not at all my typical style but made me thirsty anyway :)
What a great drink! I almost didn’t recognize your photo, love the dark and stormy look. :)
It’s not mine! It’s from Evite but they wanted me to use it, so I did and added the text :)
This sound really good, I love apple cider so I’d love to try a different twist on it. But what’s ginger beer? I’ve never heard of that.
Gingery tasting beer. There are non-alcoholic and regular versions. You’ll notice it next time you’re at the store if you pay attention to it now!
Jon picked up some strongbow to try and we both liked it. This drink is a great reason to buy it again!! Now all I need are those very cool copper mugs to serve it in :)
I know, those mugs, so pretty! I can’t believe you have Stongbow on hand. What are the odds!! You’re psychic :)
Umm….what’s this “nonalcoholic” ginger beer thing all about? ;)
LOL, I understand :)
Yuh-uh-um! And I’m with Joanna. Obsessed with copper mugs!
Loving this! This so has to happen this year. Pinned!
