I just can’t say no to white chocolate-dipped pretzels. Or white chocolate-dipped anything.

Dipping anything in white chocolate automatically makes it better. Raisins, almonds, and especially pretzels.

Easy Homemade White Chocolate Pretzels - Crunchy, salty-and-sweet, and so easy! The perfect snack and way better than storebought!

Throw in some sprinkles and you’re automatically at the highest level of salty-and-sweet, crunchy, munchy, snacky, comfort food heaven.

The homemade version tastes a lot better than storebought, too. Fresher, crispier, crunchier, and not stale. Sometimes food in bulk bins sits around way too long. But I assure you these will disappear very quickly.

I make 2 dozen at a time, and enjoy. If I have a finite number, I eat that many. If I have a big tub, I eat that many.

I store them in the fridge because I think they’re even more satisfying when chilled. They’re totally shelf-stable and will last for weeks at room temp, but I prefer the fridge for an extra snappy crunch.

Decorate them with seasonally-themed sprinkles if you want to be festive. My daughter loved going hog wild with the sprinkles.

It’s a fun rainy day project with kids. If they don’t eat them all as fast as they dip them.

Ingredients

  • one 10-ounce bag white chocolate chips, white chocolate, or white candy melts
  • 24 + pretzels, or as desired (see below)
  • sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  • To a medium, microwave-safe bowl, add about half the bag of white chocolate chips and heat for 1 minute on high power to melt. Stop to check and stir. White chocolate scorches easily, do not overheat. Heat in 15-second bursts until chocolate can be stirred smooth. If you prefer to melt over a double-broiler, feel free. I prefer to melt about half the bag of chocolate at one time so it doesnโ€™t start hardening up before Iโ€™ve gotten through dipping. As needed return bowl to micro to heat for 15 seconds to re-soften chocolate.
  • Add about 5 pretzels to the bowl of chocolate, and using a fork, lift pretzels out one at a time, letting the excess chocolate run off, before placing on prepared baking sheet. After all 5 pretzels are dipped, optionally add sprinkles before chocolate sets. Repeat dipping process with remaining pretzels and chocolate.ย As needed, return the bowl of chocolate to micro and heatย for 15 seconds to re-softenย if itโ€™s getting thick.ย If desired, melt the second half of the bag of white chocolate for a larger batch. I get about 2 dozen pretzels from a half bag.
  • Allow pretzels to set up at room temp for at least 2 hours, or expedite by transferring to the freezer for 15 minutes. Pretzels will keep airtight at room temp or in the fridge for many weeks (or months). I prefer them chilled and store in the fridge.

  1. If I have a finite number, I eat that many. If I have a big tub, I eat that many. ย <– AMEN to this! ย I have tried buying a lot at once and portioning and….NOPE.

  2. I can’t go by the bulk bins because I want to take everything that’s inside of them!! The white chocolate pretzels are the worst offenders. It literally feels like they’re calling out my name… So I think I could only make about 5 at a time of your homemade ones. Otherwise I’m right there with you eating every single one, and I can’t run that many miles to make up for it! ;)

    1. I am so with you. I went to Whole Foods today (rare that I go b/c it’s so $$) and their bulk bins were screaming my name. Keep.on.walking.

  3. ahhh my favorite food on the planet Averie! you just cannot go wrong with easy chocolate covered pretzels, especially when they’re covered with cheery rainbow sprinkles!

    1. I made these so long ago and finally my multi-colored sprinkles weren’t too out of place after all the red and green are done :) I always think of you when I use a whole bunch of bright sprinkles! And yes, way too easy to pop these down!

  4. I agree that white chocolate makes everything better and so do sprinkles! Love your fun and colorful (and I’m sure, delicious) pretzels!!

  5. Chocolate covered pretzels are some of the best things in life. But white chocolate pretzels, they are outta this world! LOVE your version, Averie, because homemade and SPRINKLES!

  6. Thereโ€™s nothing more delicious than creamy white chocolate, and these look amazing.

The sprinkles make me happy tooโ€ฆ like rainbows and unicorns happy. :)

  7. I love white chocolate pretzels. I can’t say no. It might proved to be VERY dangerous for me to have this easy recipe!

  8. I go to the Co-op sometimes and buy half dozen of the gluten free white choc covered pretzels. If I have more, I will eat them. Why are we always so in sync?! ;)

    1. I seriously have to KEEP WALKING past the bulk bins that sell them or I will be tempted to put a dozen or so in a baggie…which I eat before I even get to the checkout line after noting the weight/price on my (empty) baggie :)

  9. YUM!!! I looooove white chocolate pretzels and yogurt covered pretzels. I think it’s the sweet-salty contrast. These look perfect Averie!!

    1. I think I would too!!! And it’s SO FUNNY that you wrote that because in my original post/story/text I wrote that!!! That I’d eat a white chocolate dipped shoe. But then I thought that may be a bit much and someone would write to me about how gross that is so I took it out. But I kid you not, I had that in my post and deleted!
