I love using Greek yogurt in my cooking and baking. It helps my baked goods turn out moist, soft, and fluffy.
With rare exception, I use it interchangeably with sour cream. It’s thick and rich like sour cream, but isn’t as much of a caloric lead balloon.
Almost all cake, muffin, and quickbread batters benefit from it. Here are 25 Recipes that Use Greek Yogurt:
1. Six-Banana Banana Bread – Six bananas are packed into one loaf for full-on banana flavor and this loaf ties with the loaf below for my overall favorite banana bread recipe
2. Banana Bread with Vanilla Browned Butter Glaze – Vanilla is used four times in this straightforward, easy recipe that never lets me down. It turns out moist and perfect every time

I like to eat greek yogurt with cinnamon or fresh fruit!
I love having greek yogurt with granola and fruit.
I like using greek yogurt inplace of sour cream in corn muffins!
I love putting yogurt in my breakfast smoothies!!
I have a lemon bundt cake I use it in and it is so good. An I’d love to try the pineapple in a pineapple-coconut bread. All of the classified flavors sound good.
I would to try your strawberry and cream coffee cake with cream cheese frosting… Mmmmmmmm
I’m not much for eating breakfast (I know I should) in the mornings so making a smoothie with the greek yogurt makes the smoothie a lot thicker and tastier and I find I can drink something in the mornings easier than eating something. I also like to just eat it right out of the container. The greek yogurt is so much thicker than the regular yogurt and I love it!
With berries, in a smoothie (with berries), frozen Greek yogurt, with berries! :)
I like to make dip for chips
I absolutely ADORE chobani! Before I tried Chobani pineapple when it first came out, I was vehemently anti-yogurt. Hated it. Then, I started reading how great greek yogurt was for you- and when I saw there was a pineapple flavor, I had to try it. I was pleasantly surprise and am now addicted.
One of my favorite breakfasts is to take a chobani and mix it into half of a cup of prepared oatmeal for a super nutritious start to my day. Sometimes I’ll use the fruit kinds (pear, banana, the berry flavors are particularly good like this) and add cinnamon OR I’ll take a plain chobani, mix in a spoonful of maple syrup, and cinnamon. So so yummy!
I love Chobani!! I would make this: https://bakingbites.com/2013/04/ultra-moist-banana-bundt-cake-with-greek-yogurt/
I do love my yogurt plain (or with berries and oats!), but I would also make my favorite (quick-to-make) pumpkin muffins: https://pinterest.com/pin/71002131596573538/
Our family loves Greek yogurt. Sometimes it’s hard to keep enough in the fridge. I would love to incorporate more in baked goods and these recipes sound like a delicious place to start. I use plain Greek yogurt in place of sour cream in some of our dinners too.
make yogurt dots or freeze then throw in blender.
I use yogurt all the time. I prefer the plain, but do buy flavors for the family to eat. I use it in baking and cooking because I like the taste. I use it whenever sour cream is called for. I use it in deviled eggs instead of the mayonnaise. We top grilled vegetables or rice pilaf or borscht or cabbage rolls or fresh fruit or fried potatoes…the list is endless.
I now use it in my cooking (instead of sour cream) and for dressings (instead of mayo). Yum!
