How are you doing today?  I am tickled pink, to use my grandmother’s expression, that you like the Vegan “Thin Mint” Fudge action going down in yesterday’s post.   It was comment mania on that recipe and I just wanna thank new and old readers alike for not only visiting my blog, but for those of you who take the extra minute to leave a comment….  Muah!!!!

I hope you make the Thin Mint Fudge cuz it’s easy, delish, uber-rich, and the ingredients are readily available.

And then the little Raw Vegan Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Cookies from my second post du jour are winners, too.  You can always make those if you need to get your chocolate on.

But moving right along…One ingredient that’s sorta new to many people in the blogosphere is Chia Seeds.  If you need a place to purchase your seeds from, you can try Chia Seeds on This Page where they sell Chia Seeds.

I am frequently asked, well what should I do with my chia seeds?

Here’s how I put some of my lil seeds to use.  But in case you forgot about this Raw Vegan Choco-Coconut-Chia action, here’s a refresher for this little sugar bomb dessert.  Another good way to get your chocolate on.  Yum.

But moving onto a little healthier Chia Seed Usage…

Stir Again and pop into fridge to save for later if you like.  I have no problem saving extra chia pudding for a few days in the fridge or freezing it to be like chia ice cream.  Whatever floats your cha-cha-chia boat, peeps!

Does anyone care that I ate some greens & veggies?  Probably not.  But here was one greenery fest.

But let’s get past the rabbit food and move right along to my new appliance….A Blendtec!!!!  You know how much I love my Vita-Mix, but I thought it was high time to see what this Blendtec can do for my world.  For my regular readers, you know I’ve got the Vita put to use nearly daily, so I am going to start playing around with this new toy and see how it’s gonna fit into my flow.  I have to say, I love the openness of the canister base.  Much wider and easier to dig stuff out of than the Vita.  Here’s some pics I took.

This is way diff than the Vita’s control panel.  The Blendtec’s is much more high tech with unique buttons rather than just 2 dials.

And it counts down.  Like 20, 19, 18, 17….

Your Milkshake Green Monster Smoothie is ready (or will be in 11 seconds) and then it shuts itself off.  Very cool.

I know a few people who have both the Vita & the Blendtec.  And I know a couple of you are probably reading this.  So tell me, for the Blendtec’ers out there, what do you love about it?  Which jobs do you think are better suited for it?  I love anecdotal, real-life-in-the-kitch stories, so please, regale me.

  1. I bought flax seeds about a year ago and wound up throwing them out because I didn't know what to do with them. This recipe inspired me to give them another shot.

I cheated by buying Bob's Red Mill flax meal, so all I had to do was mix in coconut oil and agave by hand. Instant gratification! Holy Omega-3, Batman, how can something be so easy and delicious and healthy all at the same time?

  2. Wow, these are too easy to not make and they'll be perfect when I'm done with my detox. Thanks for posting!

  3. Great recipe base. You could make endless additions to those yummy doughnut holes to personalize them!

Football, football, football! Is there anything else to enjoy on Sundays : D

  4. This recipe looks so simple and tasty, but most off all it doesn't require the vitamix!

Packing for vacation and cleaning the apartment this weekend.

  5. Wow! I am floored by your raw vegan desserts! Reading your blog has inspired me to get more in touch with the raw way of veganism. I am a vegan and I would love to commit to being fully or mostly raw one day. Thanks for all of the amazing recipes. When I finally get the time, I will definitely try one! :) Your yoga skills and practice are phenomenal as well. I am a beginner in yoga and can't wait to broaden my horizons with some intense classes next fall once I begin college. Keep posting and I will DEFINITELY keep reading!

  6. Okay, its officially Averie, you need to open a raw vegan goodie shop (then send me samples!!!). Everything always looks so amazing and totally "do-able". Perhaps a show/cookbook is in your future????? <3 Happy weekend! :)

  7. Donut holes look easy and yummy. We have tried making some out of Ani's cookbook though did not really come out due to our alterations of the recipe. You have inspired us to create our own donut holes… though going to have to wait till after our cleanse. :( We have a busy day tomorrow with two farmers markets and than more paperwork, etc. Not much relax time over here…. boo!

  8. Girl you are a bloggin' MANIAC! I can't keep up with your posts!!! I love the balls (TWSS)!!! On to your older posts. I'm gone from the blog world for a couple days and I missed a freakin' CHAPTER from your "blog book!!"

  9. Another tasty, healthy recipe! I just love the taste of agave… I even put it on my pancakes instead of maple syrup. SO GOOD!

Sounds like a perfect relaxing weekend for you. I, of course, have my Mother-Daughter Shopping Trip!! Be sure to take your daughter on many of these as soon as she's old enough to enjoy them. Seriously, one night in a hotel with a fancy dinner and lots of shopping can make the perfect weekend. :)

  10. These look great, I seriously wish I could just employ you to cook for me…my life would be complete!

I have a very busy weekend…I'm working for an Open Day at my university on Saturday and then Sailing and running a 10K on Sunday…I also need to find time to read a billion chapters of a book for one of my classes on Monday…I think I need extra hours in the day to complete everything!

Hope you have a great weekend!
