I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Mine is.

In part, because of this Almond Joy Coffee Creamer

Almond Joy Coffee Creamer International Delight

I have been eying it for weeks at the grocery store but purposely did not buy it because it sounded like something I would really like. A little too much.

As suspected, I like it.

No wait, I love it.

Open Almond Joy Coffee Creamer International Delight

It tastes just like the filling of an Almond Joy candy bar. There’s no chocolate added and it’s heavily coconut-infused, with a hint of toasted almond flavor, and it’s sweet.

It’s like pouring a chocolate-less Almond Joy candy bar into your coffee and it’s for the serious coconut lover.

I need to wash my coffee down with a Mounds Bar Chocolate Coconut Cake Mix Cookie and I’ll be all set.

I prefer Mounds bars for eating, but for drinking, I’ll happily drank some Almond Joy.

Do you have any favorite flavored coffee creamers?

I know they’re not for everyone. That’s okay; more for me.

My never-get-tired-of-it and always have at least 2 jugs on hand is Coffee-Mate French Vanilla. For vanilla, I strongly prefer Coffee-Mate to International Delights.

For Peppermint, this is my favorite but it’s hard to find year-round (only at Target, and only in a small size – in my area). The International Delights York Peppermint Pattie is good, and easily found, but I do prefer the Coffee-Mate Peppermint

Ironically, I love flavored creamers but I don’t like flavored coffee. I like to be able to doctor up plain coffee with creamers, while leaving the coffee itself unflavored. Plus, running flavored beans through my pot makes the next few pots taste like whatever flavor was brewed.

Enjoy your weekend – with an extra cup of coffee and hopefully some gorgeous weather. It’s a perfect San Diego day.

  1. I still don’t really understand what coffee creamer is (must be an American thing), but I’m kinda certain I’d love this. :P

  2. This is a creamer I definitely want to try! I’m not a huge creamer fan-but I may have to become one!

Check out my latest recipe @ bakingblissful.blogspot.com

  3. I’m a fan of the short black, no fillers or additives. Sometimes, hubby wakes me up with a cafe corretto (espresso with grappa), and that’s always… invigorating. When I was travelling in Sicily, I stayed at a farm where the usual thing was to add some unsalted butter to the espresso.

  4. I usually only use flavored creamers at work and we all take turns buying them. I’ve never really had a bad one, though I am partial to the peppermint mocha. I use almond or coconut milk in my coffee at home and try to mimic the combinations with my LorAnn drops. I’ve been on an almond-coconut-chocolate kick for the past couple of months so I know I’ll love almond joy creamer!

    1. the peppermint mocha is awesome…one of my faves and I KNOW you will love the Almond Joy flavor!

  5. I usually just take my coffee black, but the coconut/almond combo seems perfect for a warm mug of joe!

Thanks again for hosting the giveaway! I’m really excited about winning some new books :)

  6. I LOVE flavored coffee creamers. There was one called Sugar Cookie that Coffee Mate debuted for the holidays. I kid you not, I would eat spoonfuls of it plain. So embarrassing!

    1. Sugar Cookie – I tried that one I think. Maybe not though b/c I remember it being, gasp, a little boring. It just kind of got lost in my coffee but maybe it was a different flavor. I will defi try it again over the holidays!

  7. This stuff looks really good! Usually those coffee creamers aren’t vegan, though, so I stick with soymilk or flavored coffee with soy milk. My favorite is to add a splash of vanilla along with the soy milk – delish! I have a super low-tech coffee maker that is non-electric and makes exactly one cup at a time. Great for portion control, but sometimes I just want more coffee!

  8. I’m all about the plain coffee vs. flavored coffee. That Papua New Guinea coffee I sent you is still the only one I drink. I love it! I have this, from BBB:

    https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=18742179

I put just about 1/3 cup of unsweetened, organic soymilk in there, froth it up, pour it over my freshly brewed cup (brewed by the cup, old school) and put a little it of vanilla stevia and cinnamon on it! It is THE BEST!!

    1. That coffee was awesome (and thank you again!). Normally almond or soy milk just waters it down for me. It doesnt make it creamy, it just makes it…watery. Lol I need to try your frothing method!

  9. I’m with you Averie, I really like flavoured creamers, but I also like flavoured coffee too. Vanilla is always a big hit!

    1. Okay maybe I should try vanilla coffee. I wouldn’t get tired of that I don’t think!

    1. Ive never tried their vanilla nut; only blue bottle french vanilla and the yellow hazelNUT. Should try the vanilla nut!

  10. Almond Joy creamer.. I have NEVER seen this at the store! Mounds bars and almond joy bars are my faves. I love the creamy coconut goo! Katrina @ In Katrina’s Kitchen has made MOUNDS BROWNIES. I have all of the ingredients to make them, so maybe that will be coming up soon. :)

I don’t use flavored creamers, just regular FF half + half. But, unlike you, I love flavored coffee! My work has Kahlua Coffee K-cups for the office Keurig…. ummm OMG I hoard them in my desk. Best coffee I have EVER had. I can’t drink soy milk or almond milk in coffee.. it tastes so weird! Have you ever tried it? Eww.

    1. You have to get it! If you love coconut, Mounds/AJ Bars, AND you like flavored coffee, then this is going to be your heaven. Seriously.

And I hate soy or almond milk in coffee. Blah! I would rather not even drink coffee. It’s gotta be half and half AND a dash of vanilla coffeemate.

  11. I’m nota creamer kind of gal, but a splash of almond milk in my coffee makes me very very happy. I might have to try the peppermint one though… I’m weak for anything peppermint.

    1. I wish I could get on board with almond milk in coffee; would be so much healthier but I just need thicker stuff :)

  12. im not a coffee drinker, but i’ve seen commercials for this almond joy creamer, and it sounds so delicious, it makes me want to start drinking coffee! haha great review — and those brownies have my mouth watering! yum!

  13. I like them so much I can’t buy them ;) I can’t believe all the flavors they have now! I know if I bought them I would do nothing but drink candy flavored coffee all day!

    1. “do nothing but drink candy flavored coffee all day!” <-- truer words were never spoken!
