Apple Picking

Are we all excited that the weekend is here? I am.

I have no idea why but I have a desire to go apple picking.

And drink apple cider spiked with cinnamon sticks, infused with cloves or oranges for an extra zing.

Good thing I saw this when I was out today. Brand new seasonal arrival. It’s like the Apple Cider Gods heard my mental chatter and knew I was craving it and bam, it was on the shelves waiting for me.

I of course picked some up

Ingredients: Apples, Lemon Juice, Cinnamon, Allspice, Cloves, Orange Peel, Lemon Peel. I love cloves and rarely bake with them so this is going to be right up my alley. I adore cinnamon and anything with a little lemon or orange essence, too.

Sounds like fall in a cup to me

Either that or a Caramel Maple Pumpkin Pie Smoothie to fill my cup

And fall on a plate would be Caramel Apple Bars

You know, just in case I haven’t gotten my apple fill in liquid form.

And these are really easy. One bowl, stir a few things together like peanut butter, apples, oats, and bake.

It’s been years since I’ve gone apple picking and would love to go. Not sure if it’s in the cards this weekend or not, but I’d like to try.

Thanks for your patience with my server move. I really was resisting moving servers because it’s such a pain, for me and for you. But it just had to be done. Too many things were going wrong. Crashes and errors are just not cool.

As I said in my last post, if you experienced any downtime with my site, error messages, a post or two not showing up in Google Reader, or anything a little off the past few days, the server move is reason. But hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here out.
