Let’s Get Organized!

Because I am ALWAYS in the kitchen and really enjoy being there, there’s no question that I need the best kitchen organizers. I don’t want to waste time digging around cabinets and I prefer having everything I need within easy reach.

Whether you’re on the hunt for the best kitchen cabinet organizer, drawer organizer, or you’re searching for the best way to sort your pantry, I’m here to help.

Most of my recommendations for the best kitchen organizers are what I use in my own kitchen and most are very reasonable, but there are a few other higher price point products as well. NOBODY wants to buy something only to replace it within a year because it’s cheaply made!

If you’re interested in getting the most out of your kitchen space, read on for my tips on what organizing products to invest in.

Reviews of the Best Kitchen Organizers

1. My Favorite Pantry Organizer: Vtopmart Clear Plastic Pantry Organizer Bins (6 Pieces)

I own and love these clear bins because there’s no need to guess what’s inside and they help corral all the clutter in my space. Just check out those handles for easy-grip action, which makes them easy to move around if I need to.

Maybe one holds only tea bags and individual hot cocoa packages while another might be for grab-and-go snacks or even cans of soup. I’m not the only one who loves them, though — Amazon shoppers are big fans too, giving an average 4.7-star rating from more than 8,700 reviews.

2. My Favorite Kitchen Cabinet Organizer: WOWBOX 25-Piece Clear Plastic Drawer Organizer Set

This is, hands down, the best kitchen cabinet organizer EVER. There’s 25 pieces in four different sizes — one square while the rest are rectangular — which means there are tons of customization options for how I get to use them.

I love using them to store cooking utensils and other miscellaneous items. The organizers stack easily when they’re not being used, and I like the clear option so there’s no mystery about what’s in each one, either.

3. My Favorite Kitchen Drawer Organizer: Simple Houseware Expandable Kitchen Drawer Flatware Organizer

If you’re looking for the best kitchen drawer organizer out there, this is it. I’ve owned it for a while and haven’t had any concerns or issues. You can even remove or expand the middle tray and dividers so it better fits your drawer. If you want to add a little color each time you pull out utensils or gadgets, there’s also a turquoise option.

4. My Favorite Lazy Susan: Tiblue Lazy Susan 2-Pack

Since this is a duo of lazy Susans, you can maybe put one on a counter and pop another in a cabinet. When I’m cooking, I like to have spices and oils I use within reach and this is super helpful for that. There are TONS of flexible uses here. Eating Well calls it “stress-free storage for all your favorite ingredients” and I couldn’t agree more.

5. My Favorite for Dry Goods: 16-Ounce Ball Mason Glass Jars with Lids (Set of 6)

Not only do these glass jars — which have been around for a gazillion years in case you’re going for a farmhouse look — look great on my countertop, but they also seal up nicely. I like this smaller size because otherwise, with the larger jars, you may end up with a lot of empty space in each one, and we already know how CROWDED countertops can be.

You can even store leftovers of my homemade pizza sauce in these jars!

6. Best Kitchen Cart: Amazon Basics 4-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy-Duty Storage Shelving Unit

A cart is one of the best kitchen organizers out there, but I don’t know why anyone would buy a kitchen cart without wheels! The whole point is to move it around for your use! This one has wheels and is also sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight. It’s also the number-one seller on Amazon for standing shelf units, with a whopping 4.6-star rating from more than 228,000 shoppers!

7. Best Kitchen Organizing Set: OXO Good Grips 10-Piece POP Container Set

If you have some cash to spend and you’re all about organizing your pantry staples, this 10-piece set of containers from OXO is a great buy. OXO is a brand I trust, whether it’s something small like measuring cups or this storage container set.

I have the 20-piece set and I absolutely LOVE it, but the 10-piece one is a good option since you can still store everything from dry cereal to coffee and big bags of flour.

8. Best Kitchen Utensil Organizer: Nucookery 360° Rotating Utensil Holder

What good is a utensil organizer if it can’t ROTATE? I love how I can spin this one so what I need to flip, stir, or sauté is now right in front of me. The classic white and cork base design is also a nice addition to any kitchen.

9. Best Spice Drawer Organizer: LYNK Professional Expandable Organizer For Spice Jars

For prolific cooks and bakers like me, this expandable spice jar rack means you don’t need your collection to be so spread out around the kitchen. Instead, it’s all in one drawer. It’s definitely the best kitchen drawer organizer for spices — just note that the actual jars and labels aren’t included.

10. Best Spice Rack Organizer: Kamenstein 20-Jar Revolving Countertop Spice Rack

If you prefer displaying all of your spices out on the countertop, this organizer is a great choice. What I like about this spice rack is that it SPINS and also holds more than a handful of spices. Most serious home cooks like me have at least 20 spices they use regularly. This spice rack holds them all.

Food Network even calls it the best spice rack organizer for countertops.

11. Best Under-Sink Organizer: Simple Houseware Stackable Under-Sink Organizing Drawer

It’s always refreshing to find organizing products NOT made from plastic, right? This under-the-sink drawer set is made from metal and comes in five different color choices. It’s a hit with more than 8,705 Amazon shoppers who give it a 4.7-star average rating.

If this isn’t enough storage, I recommend buying two sets and stacking them together.

12. Best Refrigerator Organizer: Williams Sonoma Hold Everything Metal Powder Coat Basket (Medium)

Fridges can get MESSY and that’s why I like this classy-looking basket, because it can make even a cluster of clementines look organized AND stylish. Williams-Sonoma is my go-to for a lot of things around the house and that includes these baskets. House Beautiful raves about it, too.

13. Best Over-the-Door Pantry Organizer: 1Easylife 6-Tier Over-the-Door Pantry Organizer

When I’m shopping for a pantry organizer that can snap over the back of the door and instantly give me more space, I want one like this. It’s heavy duty and it won’t come crashing down thanks to the metal construction.

The neutral white hue is nice, too, for a light-and-bright look when you open the door. The baskets are wide enough to hold A LOT of food products, which is what makes this a winner for me.

14. Best For Flour Storage: Progressive International 4-Quart Flour Airtight Food Storage Container

It’s always hard to find a storage container just for flour. You’re either jamming it in there or there’s a lot of wasted space. This one fits like a glove and is clear so you don’t forget what you put in it! Food editors love the container, with The Spruce calling this the best dry food storage container for flour among their selections for best kitchen organizers.

As a bonus, I like that it comes with a leveling bar for accurate measurements, too.

15. Best Pot and Pan Organizer: Cuisinel Heavy-Duty Pan Organizer 5-Tier Rack

Corralling pots and pans can be a HUGE hassle but once you figure out a system, it’s a game changer. With this 5-tier rack, it’s pretty easy to find the exact pot or pan you need, when you need it. I like this one because it’s designed to support WEIGHT and not fall apart.

Apparently it’s not just me who likes it: so do more than 29,843 Amazon shoppers who give it a 4.6-star average rating, earning it a spot among the best kitchen organizers. It even comes in a snazzy red, if you’d rather not pick black or gray.

Kitchen Organizing Pro Tips

As helpful as kitchen organizers are, you want to start with a kitchen that’s already sort-of organized. I like to keep my countertops clean, clear, and as clutter-free as possible. Built in 1912 in San Diego, and while I’ve rehabbed it since, my house is 1,000 square feet. The kitchen is truly small so I can’t tell you how important organization is!

I kept canisters for utensils, along with my nugget ice maker, Vitamix, and my toaster on the counter, but NOTHING else. I have a small kitchen with limited counter space and no island.

Why You Can Trust Me

Hi, I’m Averie Sunshine, the founder of Averie Cooks! I was named one of the Ten Best Food Bloggers by the Huffington Post, and my work has appeared in Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart’s Martha’s Circle, Gourmet Live, Glamour, and countless others over my 15 year blogging career.

I’ve also published two books: Peanut Butter Comfort: Recipes for Breakfasts, Brownies, Cakes, Cookies, and Frozen Treats Featuring America’s Favorite Spread and Cooking with Pumpkin: Recipes That Go Beyond the Pie

But on top of these credentials, I know what it’s like to bake and cook in the kitchen. And to do this, I ABSOLUTELY need to be organized. If you look through my website, there are SO MANY recipe categories, including 30-Minute Meals, where you DO NOT WANT to waste any time finding a certain gadget, spice, pan, or tray.

Trust me, if you invest in the best kitchen organizers, it will change your life!

What’s the Best Way to Organize Kitchen Cabinets?

You really need to keep an eye on your cabinets because that’s where gadgets go to die. Things you forgot you even owned are stowed away in there and you forget all about them.

Put pots and pans only with pots and pans and don’t toss a spatula, for example, randomly in there. Keep what you use most, like plates, bowls, cups and mugs, handy.

Basically, if an item doesn’t serve a purpose and you don’t reach for it monthly, re-evaluate whether you even need it.

How to Organize Kitchen Drawers

I’m a huge fan of linking drawer organizers, which is why I recommend some expandable options above. Not everyone’s drawers are the same, after all. My drawers are so small that if I didn’t have an organizer I’d just cram it all in until the drawer no longer opens!

Pro Tip

Don’t be afraid to donate, declutter, and dejunk! Let someone else reuse or repurpose that frying pan you never reach for, that huge punch bowl you used once, or those cheapie dishes you bought from a big-box store 15 years ago but now just take up space!

How to Organize Kitchen Utensils

I like utensil holders for things I grab very frequently, such as spatulas, both silicon or rubber. Here’s what I put in my holder:

  • Firmer spatulas for flipping a grilled cheese sandwich or burger
  • Whisks
  • A meat tenderizer tool for pounding chicken
  • Soup ladles
  • Serving spoons and serving spoon and fork sets for salads and meat dishes

If you don’t use it at least once a month, throw it in a drawer.
