How are you doing today? I’m chillin like a villain as a solo parent. Scott’s been gone since early Sunday morning, I’ve been taking care of the Little Princess by myself, and can’t wait til he gets home late Tuesday night! I miss him. But admittedly, a break from the 24/7 solo childcare will be lovely, too!
But I just want to say Thank You to everyone who wrote in and complimented me on the Raw Vegan Peanut Butter Cups (3 Ingredients, 10 Mins)!! I had a huge response on these and each and every comment was sooo appreciated!!!! Thanks to new readers who came out of the woodwork as well as faithful commenters. All your input is awesome, so thank you for the lovely feedback!
The PB Cups are really easy, fast, & soooo yummy. It’s so much more satisfying to eat them too knowing you’ve made your own PB Cup without any mystery ingredients like the store-boughts tend to have.
I wanted to feature reader Rachel’s PB Cups. She’s the first one to send in a pic of her handy-work! Which leads me to my Open Call for Reader Photo Submissions! If you send me pics of any recipe you make of mine, I would be thrilled to post it with a link back to you! Deal? Ok good. Now start sending in your chia pudding pics, your raw vegan apple crisp, your PB Cups, whatever you’ve got! If you’ve made a recipe of mine, I can’t wait to showcase it here!
Also, thanks for your comments on yesterday’s post about when to say something to random strangers about their behavior and when to just let it go and carry on your way. I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on that!
And finally, thanks for telling me which bloggers you’ve met up with in person and it was great having another Blogger Meetup and Girl Time with Madeline! Woo-hoo for new friends!
Ok so for today…Some Cherry Action….
Cherry #1
I cracked open Pro Bar in Cherry Pretzel Flavor
Chunks of chocolate chips, cherries, flax seeds, nuts. These bars are by no means low-cal, but they are full of chunky goodies. You can tell what you’re eating, not just mutilated, pulverized nuts, dried fruit, or chocolate.
Cherry #2
I got the mail and saw my apron came from Cupcake Provocateur. As a member of the Foodie Blogroll, I won it!!!!!
Cherry Print in the House!!!!
Self-portrait coming at you because Scott’s on a biz trip and there’s no one else to snap a pic of me in my Cherries. The trying-to-be-sassy-cook.
Thanks again Cupcake Provacateur & Foodie Blogroll!
Cherry #3
And here’s another cherry. Just kidding, it’s the first grapefruit of the season that I’ve had an it hit the Vitamin C spot. I’ve been fighting a little cold, you know, new yoga studios, toddler germs, the Swine Flu, this should keep the sickies away!
And to recap some recent grub around here….
I made a Vegetable Drawer Salad. Meaning half the veggie drawer went in: Tomatoes, Cauli, Brock, Brussels’s, Cukes, Zukes, Greens, Carrots, Yellow Peppers, and dressed it with the juice of 1/2 an orange, agave, and cracked black.
Also made a Monsterous Kale Salad with Sugar Snap Peas, Brock, Cauli, Orange Pepps, Tomatoes, Cukes, and Homemade Vegan Slaw Dressing (my new go-to). The dressing just gets caught up in the kale leaves and my tastebuds get caught up in Loving. Every. Bite.
I also made some Sweet Potato Fries
For Roasting and Seasoning Info, check This Post Out or This One Too.
And after my kale salad and sweet potato fries, it was time to dig into a Raw Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.
But I had also whipped up a quick batch of Raw Vegan Chocolate Chia Pudding

What’s your Thanksgiving Strategy this year? Are you cooking, and if so, when are you starting? Are you making shopping lists and pouring over recipes in the hopes of really going all out for the big T-Day? Or are you going to be like me, and keep things super, low key? Then again, 48 hours beforehand, I could get all inspired. What’s Thanksgiving going to look like for you this year? Traveling, staying put, cooking, not cooking, what’s your game plan?

I think I was 4 posts behind on you specifically. Tragic. I also have major OCD with the comments. I usually read all the posts via google reader, but then the ones I comment I open in a new tab, and usually I have 40 tabs of people I want to comment. I still have a window with multiple tabs open from Thursday I think. Sad, sad story. I decided to tackle the newest ones before those though. :)
1. Love your Lululemon duds. Duhhh.
2. I can't believe I was late on checking out espresso making. MY ONE TRUE LOVE. Coffeee+espresso. Baha.
3. I LOL-ed at your "TWSS" joke regarding my small cookie dough balls. I like em small, so I can eat 4 in one sitting. :)(Tricking my mind.)
heyaaa darling! how did your walk/run go?? the almond milk was ehhh not as frothy as yours bc I dont have an esspresso steamer, BUT i heated it up and threw it in the magic bullet, then whipped it up for 30 secs…it was good! just not averie good :)
i love yoga, but I don;t do it nearly as much as I should. If you lived in my area I would be so motivated to come to your class!!

Those peanut butter cups look great!
I've been doing yoga since I was a kid. Instead of plopping us in front of the tv, my mom would get us on the mat getting our body into animal yoga poses. I feel like most people who begin yoga usually fall in love with it!
I hope I'm as good at yoga one day! Amazing, all your food looks so good x
Averie I feel so bad! I don't know if I ever said thank you for linking back to my blog…I'm really starting to lose it! There were so many things I was trying to remember to respond to and that was ONE thing I really want to say thank you about. Ugh…as my mom would say, "I have a head like a sieve."
Hello food porn!!!!!!!! Love this post. Now i'm craving something sweet :)
And those pb cups look delish!!! As does everything else, but when does it not?! xoxo
So fun! That chocolate pie looks phenom! I'm with VeggieGirl- when does the restaurant open up? Seeing your daily poses makes me want to incorporate more yoga into my life- its a GREAT reminder
Stop it, stop it, stop it! I am doing the Master Cleanse and this is making me so hungry :o)
I love seeing the yoga poses! It affirms that my posture is correct, yay! I am doing yoga all week again because it is a "rest" week. Thank goodness because anything more than that during the MC would be too much!
I wish I could enoy plow pose but it's SO straining on my neck :( I tried deaf man's pose once and almost cried.. no me gusta!
I love these tribute posts — you should be very honored :) after all, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.. and you deserve to be flattered regularly!
hugs and smooches, beautiful! xoxo
Wow, everything looks scrumptious!

in case i don't post about it today i picked up tjs gingerbread coffee! i couldnt resist haha. i'm enjoying it actually right now as i type haha. it's pretty good! it's dark so you might like it and it has good seasonings. i thiiink i like it better then the wintry blend and you can definitely taste the nutmeg in the batch :) i hope they have free samps at the one by you so you can give it a try
Woo!! Love the new gear, lil lady! You look so cute.
I'm so making the peanut butter cups for a dinner today. I can't wait to see how everyone likes them! I'll shoot you an email and let you know ;)
Thanks for the shout-out, Averie! And even BIGGER thanks for sharing that reeses cup recipe in the first place :)
Love this tribute post because now I have lots of new bloggies to check out — look at all the kitchens you are inspiring!
Wish I did yoga — after having 5 babies, this hard-working old body needs it :)
Happy weekend!
