I love coconut and coconut oil. The flavor, the scent, the richness and depth of flavor added to food.

Have you ever tried coconut oil? Did you like it or not?
I used to hate coconut oil.
The first coconut oil I ever bought was refined coconut oil and I won’t say the brand but it was gross.
I thought it tasted like I was eating a cross between and a hunk of wax and Hawaiian Tropic tanning oil.
I moved onto Tropical Traditions which has been my go-to coconut oil for the past few years.
I’ve also tried Nutiva, Navitas Naturals, and now Kelapo.
I also did a post on refined vs. unrefined coconut oil if you’re curious about the differences, pros & cons.
How do you like to use coconut oil or what recipes do you make with it?
Do you use coconut oil for anything besides eating it or cooking with it?
Not only do I cook with it, but I use it as a hair treatment
You don’t have to buy “special” coconut oil for hair. Whatever kind of coconut oil you have will work perfectly fine in your hair, I’m sure. Makes a great leave in conditioner and smoother but just a little bit unless you like the greasy look.
I also use coconut oil on my skin, elbows, knees, lips, you name it, it works great as a moisturizer.
What do you make with coconut oil or coconut or how do you use it?

The Roasted Coconut Ginger & Peanut Butter Carrots look amazing, I’m clicking that link next! I left a comment about your coconut oil chocolate and how much I loved it – I’m not sure how I’m keeping my hands off it and just having one small piece a day, but I swear it’s getting better with every bite :) I like using coconut oil to mix with to make syrups, which I saw first on OhSheGlows.com: Angela mixed it with maple syrup for a pancake syrup and with chocolate chips for a chocolate syrup etc … my last use was to mix it with 74% cocoa chocolate for a glaze on a chocolate-blueberry cake, I’m being asked to make it again because my friends and family loved it so much! Coconut oil = win :D
