Creamy Chocolate Martini with Baileys โ Everything is better with Nutella, including these martinis that go down so easily! The Frangelico adds hazelnut, cinnamon, and vanilla notes, while the Baileys Irish Cream provides richness and creaminess.
Easy Baileys Cocktail Recipe
Irish cream and Frangelico are two of my favorites. They’re a match made in creamy martini heaven. And things only get better when Nutella is involved.
Combining Irish Cream with Frangelico is a natural pairing. Frangelico is a liqueur made with toasted hazelnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, cocoa and vanilla extract. Those are some of my favorite flavors and ingredients, and Frangelico lends a rich hazelnut flavor to the drink.
This chocolate martini recipe is an automatic win for me because it uses Irish cream. I even started making my own Homemade Irish Cream. I love DIY projects that take literally 1 minute to blend together and help me save a little money.
To rim your martini glass for this drink, you’re going to have to dip your finger in Nutella. Literally caught with your hand in the cookie jar, or the Nutella jar, is okay here. I tried rimming the glass by putting the Nutella on with a spoon, but it wasn’t working very well.
Normally it’s jars of chocolate peanut butter my fingers are caught in, but I won’t say no to Nutella.
Crushed graham crackers adorn the side of the Nutella-rimmed glass. It’s a good thing I was drinking this at home rather than at a swanky bar because I was literally licking the side of the glass. Classy.
If there’s a way to work graham crackers into a recipe, stuck to the side of a martini glass via Nutella is a great effort.
The graham crackers and Nutella, the creamy factor from the Irish cream; with hazelnut, cinnamon, and vanilla notes from the Frangelico, these martinis go down so easily.
Optionally, you could add a splash of coffee if you’re into Creamy Boozy Coffee drinks like I am.

What’s in This Chocolate Martini?
To make this chocolate martini recipe with Baileys, you’ll need a handful of ingredients. Here are the chocolate martini ingredients you’ll be using:
- Nutella
- Graham crackers (or graham cracker crumbs)
- Frangelico
- Baileys Irish Cream (store-bought or homemade)
How to Make a Chocolate Martini with Baileys
This is the best chocolate martini recipe and it’s so easy to make! Simply rim a martini glass with Nutella (I found using my fingers to be the easiest). Place the graham cracker crumbs on a plate and time the glass with them.
Add equal parts Frangelico and Baileys to the glass and stir gently to combine.
Can I Prep This in Advance?
If you want to make multiple chocolate martinis for a group of people, you can prep the glasses ahead of time. However, I’d wait to combine the Baileys and Frangelico because this cocktail tastes best fresh.
Tips for Making a Chocolate Martini with Baileys
This recipe makes one cocktail, but you can easily scale it to serve a crowd. It’s a simple combination of one part Baileys to one part Frangelico, so you can measure out larger quantities as needed.
If you don’t have graham crackers where you live, try using a neutral-flavored, slightly sweet biscuit or cookie instead. (A digestive biscuit is likely the closest thing in Europe).
If you don’t typically keep graham crackers on hand, don’t fret. You can use the leftovers to make Graham Cracker Toffee, Cheesecake Bars, Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores Bars, Boston Cream Icebox Cake, and more!

You’re amazing, Averie. Boozy liquid dessert = a very happy me. I’d have been right there with you, gnawing and licking at the Nutella and graham cracker crumbs on the rim of the glass. I have no shame, obviously. I’m in awe of how gorgeous your photos are. I’m terrible at photographing drinks!
Thanks for the compliments, Nancy. I won’t lie, drinks can be tricky to photograph. The glare from the liquid and the glass and all the reflectiveness and light bouncing can be a challenge but when everything clicks, it’s all worth it :)
Oh man, love me some Frangelico. That stuff is soooo tasty! I love using it in baked goods for a little hazelnut flavoring, too :)

Oh my goodness gracious. This looks amazing. I had a dark chocolate orange martini on my 21st almost a year ago but the sugary alcohol didn’t make me feel very well… I think that this might be the redeeming martini recipe for me! :)
This is sweet-ish but not like a pina colada sweet or anything :) It’s more rich and smooth than sweet. From the Baileys :)
