Hi Friends!   Hump Day already, where is this week going?  My weekend is over and it’s a workday today for me.  Hopefully life is good in your world.

I received this package in the mail from Garden of Eatin’

Visa Gift Card and coupons for chips
Wonder what I should make to go on this football platter?

A bit about the company and chips:
Garden of Eatin’, the number one brand of organic tortilla chips sold in grocery stores, offers 38 varieties of intriguing flavors including signature Blue Chips to bolder offerings such as Red Hot Blues and, as a healthier alternative to the average chip, Multigrain Blues. Garden of Eatin’ only uses organic corn, harvested by sustainable farming partners.

·         Garden of Eatin’ Blues: Garden of Eatin’ is the original blue corn tortilla chips. To this day, it’s easy to be inspired by the unique flavor combinations in a Garden of Eatin’ snack. Bursting with the highest quality corn, seeds and sea salt, they’re as hearty as they are boldly original.
·         Garden of Eatin’ Red Hot Blues: Garden of Eatin’ Red Hot Blues are infused with flavor and are the most popular of the brand’s varieties. Made with organic blue corn and all-natural seasonings including a touch of cayenne pepper, this snack is not only intriguingly blue, but also turns up the heat on your palate!
·         Garden of Eatin’ Multigrain: The Multigrain Tortilla Chips are delicious, yet surprisingly nutritious! Made with a unique multigrain blend, these chips have a hearty texture and a memorable, wholesome multigrain flavor.

So that’s my Game Day Menu.  Or Menu Ideas.  Probably wouldn’t be able to pull off all these recipes on one day, but hey, ideas are good.

From yesterday’s post, thanks for letting me know all about your Chocolate Frosting preferences.

And that you liked the looks of my latest Chocolate Frosting recipe on top of my Vegan Gluten Free Rice Krispie Treats.

Thanks for chiming in also about your fave household cleaning products.  Lots of you had some great homemade and more natural suggestions.

And most of you feel like your life is always so busy, busy, busy.  Moving at warp speed just like I am.  Maybe one day we can slow down.  Til then, the show must go on!

Questions
1. Are you a Sports Fan?
I have posted here before that I am not.  Nothing against it, and I am an athlete, but I just don’t enjoy watching sports on TV or even in the audience.  If I have 3 Hours of Free Time, these are my fantasies!

2. What would you prepare for a Game Day Menu?  Or what do you like to prepare?  Any crowd pleaser tried-and-true recipe hits?
When I linked the recipes in this post, for some reason I conjured up a mental image of beefy men watching football on the couch.  Hearty men screaming at the television and high fiving in the living room.  Hey, I’m honest, that’s what came to mind.  For any of the ladies who love watching football, do your thing, girls.   I know you’ll dig the recipes, too!

All kidding aside, for most any event, I am a fan of having the recipes and food not being too fancy, but still really tasty

And easy for the chef (me!) to make.

Don’t bother telling the game day eaters that all this food is gluten free and vegan.  They might choke on their vegan corn dog.

3. Do you tailgate?
I haven’t done this since high school football games.  See my answer to #1.  Have to be a sports fan to enjoy standing around just waiting for the game to begin.  Or, it would help at least if you’re a fan.  Not to mention, I am a wimp when it comes to chilly weather.  I like to be indoors.

4. Do you have plans to watch any games coming up?
I know that on Thanksgiving Day the football fans are in couch-potato heaven.  And there’s of course the Superbowl in January.  I won’t be watching them but Scott may catch a few minutes of the games.

Have a great day!

  1. I believe you have made many truly interesting points. Not too many people would really think about it the direction you just did. I am truly impressed that there is so much about this subject that has been uncovered and you did it so nicely
