I had a great Friday. Can’t beat the Friday afternoon views in Aruba.
The weather was perfect. 88F, light breeze, mostly sunny.
The beach wasn’t crowded. Tomorrow, Saturday, the influx of Christmas and holiday tourists will hit the island but today was super mellow.
And shortly before we left the beach Skylar sat down on my chaise lounge and decided to give me a foot massage.
She’s only four and I have to say, is quite the little masseuse. Now if an oceanside foot massage from your kiddo isn’t the best thing ever, I don’t know what is.
This stuff is second best.
White Chocolate Vanilla Peanut Butter Puppy Chow
We’ve almost polished it off.

Gorgeous pics as ALWAYS! ;) If someone can guarantee me a child that gives foot massages by the ocean, I might reconsider this kid thing…
trust me, after throwing up for about 30 weeks while pregnant (It was 7 very rough months) and then a colicy small baby, I am soooo grateful that life is sooo different now. Never did I think when I was on my 13th feeding of the day at 4:12am that fast forward four years and life would be like this :) I count my lucky stars!
beautiful pics! oceanside massage sounds lovely.
i must admit I am so jealous you are there
xoxo
great pics!
The beach looks so inviting! It was frosty in NJ today, but I did enjoy the seat heaters in my car, along with veggie sushi and watching Bad Teacher. Happy Friday!
Ahhh those pictures just make me wish I was sitting by the ocean. Today, while playing outside in 35 degree weather, Meghan grabbed her pool floaty from the garage and said, “Let’s go to the beach”. Then she started to pretend she was swimming in the driveway. That’s the closest we’re going to get to a beach for a while. Enjoy your time!! :-)
Gorgeous pics! Thanks for sharing. Love the foot massage story!
A long walk in the icy-bitter wind made this day a good day.
Stunning, stunning, and stunning. And I’m sitting at home in my winter coat because I can’t get warm enough. Enjoy!!!!
absolutely stunning photos!
Oh….I need to print those pictures off and blow them up window size and hang them at work. I can almost smell the ocean and feel the sand.
It almost look slike your messing with those pictures, Averie. ;) How can Aruba possibly be that beautiful? You obviously have impeccable taste.
lightened and brightened a bit, but it really is that beautiful!
Ah, I seriously just felt any stress melt away from looking at these photos…can’t imagine the feeling of actually being there…must be like floating on air!
My Friday was actually pretty fantastic — I taught three groups of homeschoolers, and found out about getting some more teaching opportunities next year, along with the possibility of being able to attend a yoga teacher training! I’ve been teaching as a sub since I’ve taught kids yoga and been practicing for so long, but it’ll feel great to have a certificate!
This weekend is going to be saturated with art making and yoga — so excited!
Enjoy your weekend, Averie!
taught three groups of homeschoolers = that is awesome. I am 100% a homeschool proponent. Would have liked to HS Skylar but due jobs, i.e. we need money, I can’t…but I think it’s fabulous!
that’s where I come in to help — when parents need a break or have to work. i’m so lucky to be a part of it all! I think just having the attitude that learning can happen any time, any where, is the best gift to give to Skylar — no matter if she’s in school or at home.
I’m not going to tell you how it’s so cold that I can’t feel my toes… ;)
Enjoy the gorgeous weather!
aw too precious! That view, wow! You must have had an amazing day..
Wow, sounds like you had a perfect day. My Friday was pretty rough at school, but stress baking this afternoon helped!
man oh man, looks like my version of a perfect day – can’t get much better than the beautiful beach, foot massages, and puppy chow. ;)

ahhhh your pics are amazing!!!! living the life!!! with a foot massage on the side. :))
