Hi Bloggie Friends, how’s Tuesday going for you? Mine started off with a bang. Literally. I dropped the metal frame of a tricycle on the top of my foot. How did I manage this one? Well, I promised Skylar a pink trike once she fully learned the potty. Well, it’s been a couple months and she’s got it completely down pat so it was trike buying time.
I ordered it online and it came in a box and after unpacking it in my 95F garage, and struggling with the nuts and bolts, and I thought I had this one piece tightened down enough, well, I didn’t. And a 20 pound pink metal rod came crashing down on the top of my foot. That’s when I said Screw It and threw the whole thing in the trunk and drove it to a local bike shop and happily am paying $40 for them to assemble it for me. My husband? He’s handy making money, not playing Mr Fix It. All the baby equipment we ever received? I put it together. For those of you who have not had children yet the experience of putting together a crib or a high chair is the stuff that divorces and epic arguments are made of so just have that Mr. Handyman Company on speed dial if your partner or you isn’t the handiest of types. In the meantime, my foot has a huge welt but I’m a tough broad and it’s throbbing fine.
Earlier in the Day I went to the Gym and worked out my Abs and Back hard today. I Posted a few New Pictures in my Gym Workouts Tab
Here’s a Couple of the Pics and there’s More Here
I want to get really deep cuts in my abs. The only way I am going to get there is Hard Work, Clean Diet, Lift, Yoga, Rest, Repeat. No shortcuts, no complaining, will not stop til I have what I want. Nothing Worth Really Having is Easy, right! I feel like I’m doing pretty good, but there is always more to achieve!
After my Gym Session, I found this Luna bar in my bag that I planned to take a few bites of but…
…While I was taking pictures and racking the weights and straightening up, Skylar polished this bad boy off.
After the Gym Session, I took My Spotter Skylar outside to the Pool!
Normally I try to space out the “good stuff” of life but today she hit the 3 year old jackpot of life and she loved our day. So did I!
As long as I was out at the bike shop, I swung through the grocery store to replenish my Fresh Produce:
Romaine, Grapes, Broccoli
Cauli, Apples, & Carrots
A Boat Load of Tomatoes ($2.50/pound for vine-ripened so I stocked up) & Pears were $1/pound
I’m Glad That Yesterday’s Peanut Butter Coconut Oil Popcorn looked good to you. And thanks for telling me that I am converting some of you into popcorn lovers!
And I really enjoyed your comments about PB2, Recipes and Way You Use It, and If you Like it Or Not.
As I mentioned yesterday, it’s “fine”, it’s not like real Peanut Butter, but it passes.
Or if you make Vegan Protein Cookie Dough then just add some PB to it.
Always must thank April because Her Recipe for Protein Cookie Dough is Genius and sooo simple!
Thanks for your feedback about Numbers, Measurements, and whether you Pay Attention to what The Numbers say about your body or whether you don’t get wrapped up into numbers..I loved reading everyone’s different thoughts and perspectives. Thanks for the Honest Comments!
Green Food Today was something old, but something “new” for me: Edamame. I haven’t had any in 5 years!
Regular readers know that I am soy “light”. Meaning, I believe my food allergies/intolerances act up when I consume soy so I really limit how much soy I eat.
But it’s a nice vegan protein source which means less need for tummy-upsetting protein powder and so I am experimenting a little bit with edamame.
I do have trace soy in my life, in say Jokerz Bars so I am not soy-free, just very soy minimal or “light”.
I have Made my Sesame Ginger Maple Tofu
And Layered It On Top of Salads A Few Times, but I am very mindful and only eat a few pieces at a time. Period. It’s not worth spending the next day, or four, in the bathroom!
I Combine 1/4 c of Edamame (not very much, taking it nice and slow with the soy) with Brussles, Tomatoes, Cauli, Cukes
Tossed With my Homemade Vegan Slaw Dressing
And Enjoyed It!
Dessert was Nature’s Candy
Medjool Dates with PB in the Middle. Katie & Elise come to mind when I eat these.
Who am I Fooling…
I also Nibbled on No-Bake Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls with Extra Protein Option
And a few Squares of Raw Vegan Coconut Oil Chocolate

Questions
1. Have You Ever Dropped Anything On Yourself? What Was It? Do You Consider Yourself Clumsy? Are you Accident Prone?
I don’t consider myself clumsy at all, but instead suffer from Rushing Around & Multi-Tasking Syndrome. I am trying to do too many things, all at once, and if I slowed down a quarter second, I could save myself many of the nicks, dings, and little boo-boo’s I inflict from rushing and multi-tasking. Trying to answer the phone, wipe Skylar’s butt, email a blog reader back, fold the laundry, mop the floor, get ready to go teach yoga, get a shower in after the gym, find Barbie’s missing shoe, pay bills, unpack the groceries, I just need to slow down a half step and I wouldn’t run into things or ding myself quite as much!
Do you Rush Around? Multi-Task? There’s multi-tasking, then there’s over-tasking, and I am the later..hah!
2. Do You Like Medjool Dates? Are you a Dried Fruit Eater? If so, where’s your Go To Place for buying Dried Fruit?
Since you know how Skeeved I am About Bulk Bins, I don’t buy anything from them.
And there was more Follow Up Discussion the Next Day in This Post
So I buy my dried fruit from Trader Joe’s and lately I buy a little less than I used to. Primarily because Skylar has a full set of nice teeth. As a baby, dried fruit is great for teething and for the dental-challenged, but she’s got great choppers and eats more raw broccoli and cauliflower and less dried apricots these days. I really need to pickup some dried pineapple because there is a raw dessert recipe I’d like to try out with dried pineapple…yum!
Are you a Dried Fruit Eater or Not?
3. Sunscreen. Do you Wear It? Why or Why Not?
I don’t wear sunscreen except for extremely rare occasions, like I am on the Equator traveling and in the midday sun at the beach. Then, yes, I wear Spf 15. However, I don’t wear it 99% of the time and I live in a hot, sunny desert. And I admit I don’t wear it so please no haters, I am just sharing info.
Why don’t I wear it?
Well, it’s gloppy, I don’t like the way it feels on my skin especially when I perspire or am outdoors, the various chemicals and parabens and ingredient lists a mile long in most sunscreens is not something I care to rub on my skin, the largest organ of the body.
I am also blessed that genetically my skin naturally doesn’t burn easily.
Additionally, I eat a high raw plant-based diet, filled with natural anti-oxidants and phytochemicals that diminish and mitigate the sun’s rays. The more the foods I eat resemble the Colors of the Rainbow, the less I seem to need sunscreen. I realize for very fair-skinned people that you could eat all the antioxidants and Rainbows in the world but you’re still going to burn.
Also, most people are chronically Vitamin D depleted and the sun can help to bring this into balance since it’s hard to get Vitamin D from plant-based foods.
Oh and when I do come in from the sun, lately I have been slathering Coconut Oil out of the jar on my skin and it smells and feels heavenly!
4. Have You Tried Coconut Oil as a Moisturizer Yet?
I also use it in my Hair
