Hi Friends!  This is my last post in 2010.  I posted about 450 times in 2010 and now that I’m posting twice a day, I know 2011 will be even more!

Thank you to everyone who reads my blog, both the lurkers and my faithful commenters.

Thank you to those who email me telling me that you are inspired by me, or that you really enjoy my blog or recipes.

Thanks to those of you who try to Tweet with me.  And yes, I’m still learning the difference between a retweet and a # sign.

Thanks to everyone who I have met through blogging and whom I’ve become friends with and gotten to know.  It’s been my pleasure and honor.  I say that with utmost sincerity.  I have met an amazing group of people and when I started my blog, it was really just to share recipes every now and then.  Boy, how things and plans change!

I know that many bloggers have recently posted their Top 10 Posts of the Year, or Top Recipes of the Year, or their Favorite Posts of the year.

From me, you get a recently updated Popular Posts Page

I broke it into sections with what posts have been popular with readers and what posts I feel are a good “snapshot” of me, or provide information, recipes, or tidbits that are fun and have seemed to be popular with everyone.  It’s so hard to choose from thousands of posts and narrow it down to a handful, though!

From my last post, I am glad you enjoyed all the photos from my last post about our walking path in Aruba.  Even though we’ve only been home since Monday, it already feels like ancient history since we were there.  Funny how that works.  And those will be the last set of fresh Aruba pictures as my memory stick is cleaned off now.

It was great hearing how you workout in the winter and what you do to stay motivated.  Thanks for sharing your workout and motivational strategies as well as if you think it’s harder to stay on track with workouts around the holidays.

Dessert:  5 Minute & 4 Ingredient Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse
If you want to get fancy, serve this in champagne flutes or wine glasses.  And perhaps layer it with raspberries or other fancy berries, like a Mousse Parfait, and impress your guests.

Questions
1. What are you doing for New Years Eve? And for New Years Day?
I’m working both days but will be trying to spend a little time with the family and just trying to keep lowkey.   So please enlighten me with your fun plans and any crazy stories that occur!

2. Do you pay attention to blogger’s Tabs and Pages?
I think everyone does check the Recipes Tab on their fave blogs but what about the other  pages and tabs? i.e. their Popular Posts Tab, their Blogroll, or their About Me pages?
As an aside, I’ve thought about taking off my blogroll because I read so many blogs, far more than are on my blogroll, and it just seems like a popularity contest sometimes.  So, I have thought about taking it down.  Thoughts on blogrolls in general?

When I was in Aruba and had extra time on my hands, I updated, refined, and fine-tuned those tabs and pages.

I do tend to click on the tabs/pages of the bloggers I read regularly.  I try to gather insight into their life and learn more about them and sometimes you get some little gems.  Kind of like doing quizzes; you get to know more about the blogger.

And it’s interesting for me see what they showcase on those pages and what they feel is popular or worthy information that makes it onto a special page.

3. If you have a blog, do you update your pages regularly?  Why or why not?   And how do you decide what info or post makes the cut?
Many bloggers don’t update their pages very regularly so it makes me less likely to click on those tabs if I know nothing has likely changed since the last time I was there.

It’s a time-consuming task, but one that I feel is important for me to stay current on because once you let it go, it just snowballs like the cobwebs under your couch and then you never want to update them!  But in the great scheme of life, updating one’s gym workouts tab on one’s blog is about as exciting as watching paint dry…haha!

In terms of what makes the cut onto my tabs/pages, I include info or recipes that readers have told me they really liked.  And I include pages that get viewed over and over (google analytics doesn’t lie), and also posts and info that I want people who are coming to my blog for the first time to see at a quick glance.

Tell me your thoughts on this stuff.  And many of you are probably just happy to read the current blog post and could care less about the extra pages, updates, and info…which is fine, too!

4. What do you, my readers, want to see More Of in 2011 on my blog?

Happy New Year’s Eve Everyone!  There’s still time to set a few New Year’s Intentions!

Above all, please be safe this weekend, and use designated drivers.

And ladies, please use the buddy system if you’re going out, i.e. do not leave your drunk friend alone, do not leave the bar separately, do not leave your drinks unattended, and watch out for each other and your friends.  It’s common sense stuff but after a few drinks, common sense isn’t always common.

See you all in 2011!  Thanks for being awesome readers and friends, everyone!
