Summertime refreshment at its finest.
This punch goes so down easily that you’ll find yourself looking for a refill in no time.
I was trying to think of something new to make on a warm evening when I spotted a nearly forgotten about bottle of sweet-and-sour mixย in my fridge. Only 10 caloriesย for 8 ounces which helps keep the punch from becoming a total empty-calorie delight, which most punches are.
Light sweet-and-sour mix, paired with light raspberry-pomegranate vodka,ย Malibu, and a drizzle of grenadine, is all that’s needed for a sweet-and-tangy, mildly fruity drink with faint coconut undertones.ย There’s just enough coconut to lend a tropical, summertime, warm weather vibe without it being overly pronounced.
For the photos, I kept ice out of the glasses and drizzled the grenadine into each glass for a gradient effect. Seeing that fade makes me thirsty.
Once you stir in the grenadine, you lose the gradient but the mixture turnsย a gorgeous shade of pinky-peach, andย the color alone will lure anyone in.
You can serve this punchbowl-style or go fancier and serve it in martini glasses.ย Either way, there’s a whole lot of pucker going on.
The punch is tart and tangy, not overly sweet thanks to the sour mix, and packs a stronger punch than you’d suspect.
But don’t all punches. Hence, their name.
Punch like this is just another reason I loveย summer.

Thanks, Denise!
Totally refreshing and perfect for summer!
I’ll swap you this for the Mojito you posted today :) We can do a taste-test. Or a drink-off :)
I did not need to see this. Hello gorgeous! I can’t believe how cold and refreshing this looks without being a total empty calorie bomb! And the flavors are incredible. Coconut and raspberry for the win!
how cold and refreshing this looks without being a total empty calorie bomb! <--- amen and glad you can appreciate that :)
Good grief girl! These are GORGEOUS! I donโt even drink alcohol, but I just HAD to pin for how beautiful these are!
Thanks for pinning and I know you don’t drink and so for you to pin and comment, that’s so nice of you, Ashton! :)
I am sure someone already said that but it looks like sunset in a glass! Love the colors! This punch sounds fantastic! Pinned!
Someone did!! I wish I had thought of that to write that in the blog post because a few people have said that now! Thanks for pinning :)
Almost (ALMOST) too pretty to drink. ;) This would go down very easily with my and my friends Averie. Raspberries and coconut are so good together! Your wine glasses are sparkling, they’re so clean!
Thanks, Sally! I wish we were sipping these together :) And that was the first time those glasses have been used. I buy blogging dishes whenever I see things I think will work ‘someday’ and that someday finally came for this shoot!
Just had amazing raspberry sorbet with toasted coconut… so this is sooo up my alley :)
Oh wow that sounds excellent!
oooooh such beautiful colors in this drink! You have so many lovely drink recipes! Will have to try one this weekend. : )
Hope you do! Enjoy!
I love drinks with color gradients–they look so artistic! I also like lightened up fruity drinks–it would be too easy to put away quite a bit of sugar and I know you’re aware of my sweet tooth:). This one is beautiful and sounds delicious!
Thanks Paula and yes, it’s very easy to just drink sugar with most fruity cocktails. They’re sugar bombs! I prefer to at least chew my sugar bombs :)
This is almost too beautiful to drink….almost…it looks like a sunset and I love drinks that aren’t overly sweet…I like to eat my calories not drink them so this is perfect.
Thanks for the lovely compliments, Lisa! And I agree, I’d rather eat my cals than drink them. It’s amazing how fast they add up too in sweeter drinks, like 300 a pop. Three drinks later, that’s a half day’s allowance!
What Erin said! Seriously, how?! These punches are beautiful and I love the gradient too!
LOL just replied to her seconds ago :)
This is a sunset in a glass. Also HOW do you get your glasses so clean? They are SPARKLING!
sunset in a glass <--- love that, I agree! I have certain glasses/dishes I only use for blogging. These were brand new and may not be used again for like 6 months, but they were pretty cheap. Life of a food blogger, right! Never.ending.dishes.
I love how beautiful and layered this drink looks, Averie! And what a wonder way to combine raspberry and coconut together. Looks so refreshing!
Thanks, Gayle!
I love a good summertime drink and this one looks like it doesn’t disappoint. :)
Thanks, Maryea, and it didn’t. It packed a whollop :)
Looks yummy!
