It’s National Peach Ice Cream Day today and although I don’t have any peach ice cream recipes, I have 10 ideas that play upon peaches + ice cream.

Mango, apricots, oranges, and bananas are involved but use peaches or nectarines if you wish. Everything is largely interchangeable.

Do you like peaches, apricots, nectarines?

I love them all and am realizing I need to make more things using them. Really, summer + fruit go hand in hand.

From watermelon and berries to white nectarines and juicy peaches, I love this time of year.

If you have any good recipes using any seasonal or summer fruits, feel free to link them up.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

  1. I used to hate peaches but got item into them last year when they were in season and at the farmer’s market.

    1. My husband never used to eat them until me. He thought he didn’t like them. I always say, how can you not like a peach! So glorious!

  2. I LOVE peaches! Soft, sweet, dripping peaches in the summer time are one of my favourites!

  3. Peaches n cream smoothie – sign me up! Peach ice cream day is just more proof that really is a day for every food/dish/dessert in America. Crazy folks out there! ;)

I’m suuuuper behind on your blog, hoping to catch back up on all these tasty recipes tonight (chocolate cake batter milkshake?!) PS, I received the healthy snacks package last week – thanks again for the awesome giveaway!

    1. Glad you got the snack package! Thanks for LMK it arrived and girl you’re moving…no worries :)

  4. As usual, all those recipes look absolutely delicious! I like the look of the pina colada and white chocolate cake cookies. Honestly, if I could eat one thing every day for the rest of my life (besides granola) it would be white chocolate. Inside of a cookie…YUM!

I like peaches if they are hot, like in a cobbler or as a sauce to pour over ice cream. Plain they are just sort of “eh” for me. My youngest son loves them, though and my hubby is allergic!

    Great photos, Averie! :-)

  5. Hi Averie! Oh, peaches and apricots are my favorite fruits, and when it’s not available fresh, I eat it dry. Love those dries apricots from Trader Joe’s, it is my snack and dessert too. We were driving from NYC another day, and stopped at TJ in Nashville, TN where I got a few months supply of those delicious apricots… :)

  6. You know, I love fresh peaches, but rarely cook or bake with them. These ideas are fantastic places to start, and now is definitely the time to experiment, while they’re so plentiful!

  7. I love peaches, nectarines, and apricots! Your peach & coconut smoothie sounds amazing – partially due to the fact that I’m completely obsessed with anything and everything coconut! <3

  8. I love all those fruits and all the recipes look soooo good! I’m intrigued by the apricot butterscotch PB filled sandwich cookies–I LOVE thick frosting and all those flavors sound great together! My stepdaughter and I put some peach halves under the broiler then topped them with a little goat cheese–so simple but tasty.

    1. the PB is such a nice contrast/complement to the apricots – it just worked really well!

  9. Peach ice cream day? I am always so behind on these national food holidays. I want that smoothie right now!

  10. How’s this for psychic? I was CRAVING ice cream like mad yesterday, which is not something I ever crave. And then last night I read that it was national ice cream day yesterday! I think my body just knew it.

I’m not usually into fruity ice creams though. I need chocolate for it to really be considered ice cream. :D

  11. Peach Ice Cream day? Mmmm! That sounds like a delicious holiday. Doesn’t coconut cream ice cream with peach chunks sound sooooo good?

  12. My god, I looooove all of today’s link ups! I am so behind on the national food day posts. I’m not very good at planning ahead, which is something I need to begin doing b/c I am finding myself stressed and freaking out as my blog grows. I love white peaches, have you ever tried those Averie? Not as juicy as yellow peaches, but they are just as good! I could go for one or all of those smoothie recipes. :)

    1. White peaches and white nectarines are SUCH a delicacy – LOVE THEM!

And yes, just do a few roundups when you need to – helps take the stress off :)
