Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Combine in Vita-Mix or Food Processor
2 ripe avocados
1/2 c agave
1/4 c cocoa powder

Optional:
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
Dash Vanilla Extract

Blend until smooth and serve

Put in container and chill in fridge, or freeze to make it really decadent like a thick mousse-ey ice cream, or make it pretty and do it up parfait style in glasses alternating layers of chocolate mousse and strawberries or other fruit.  Or as I mentioned, you can even thin it out a smidge more with an extra dash of agave and this will become your go-to frosting.  Serious.

  1. Hi, I live in a place with a different variety of avocados. They taste the same, but have smooth skin and are much bigger. Would you mind clarifying how much avocado, in lb or gr, you used for this raw chocolate mousse? It looks delicious. Thanks!

  2. I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I certainly loved every bit of it.
I’ve got you book-marked to check out new stuff you post…

  3. Hi! I have just found you blog and I have to say it is absolutely amazing! Also coming from my mom, which is quite used to a more traditional style of cooking (eggs, butter and all that), she always keeps asking me for ways she could replace ingredients so she could make it less caloric :D

One question on your Raw Vegan Chocolate Mousse – would it be possible to switch the agave with honey? Agave nectar is quite expensive where I live unfortunately and on a student budget there’s only so many healthy things I can afford..

    1. If it’s easier for you to use honey, go for it. Thanks for reading and for the nice compliments!

  4. okay…I gotta try this! This is so convenient for me, because it doesn’t need baking! I can actually make this in my room!
