As promised at the end of my last G-Rated Cauli with X-Rated Dessert post, I mentioned that my spiralizer arrived. Yay! For anyone who missed me blithering on about my shopping rampage, here it was. And thanks for everyone who also chimed in about your favorite salad dressings in the comments section. You chicas ROCK!
Here’s the Spiralizer
And then I was having a blonde moment, I wasn’t quite sure which was to attach the zuke, but I guessed right. I thought to make long noodles, I may need to attach it the “long way” rather than horizontal. How many blondes does it take to change a spiralizer blade? Just one today, thankfully.
My bowl runneth over.
Does anyone want a flacid, limpy, & skinny zuke schlong? Didn’t think so.
So I put the noodles in a bowl. I was pleasantly shocked at the quantity of noodles my 1 zuke provided. The recipe in my head was based on a very loose approximation of Gena’s Peanut Noodles.
And then I topped with carrots, yellow & red pepps, & cukes and popped that badboy bowl of raw veggie goodness in the fridge. This plan-ahead action totally saved time at the miserable dinner bewitching hour when everyone is in meltdown mode. And mommy needs a mojito.
I also pre-made the peanut dressing. 2 Tbsp PB, 2 Tbsp Raw ACV (could have done 1 Tbsp on this I think), 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup, 1 Tbsp Agave, 1 Tsp Sesame Oil, 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger, Twisty of Black Pepp. Blend in VitaGod. Pour back into empty PB jar for storing til ready for din-din.
The dressing is noticeably void of onions or garlic (hate ’em), miso (aka soy which I intolerant to), tamari (and even the wheat-free still has gluten; intolerant to) nama shoyu (soy) and of course regular soy sauce is soy + sodium on a spoon, intolerant + nasty. So I am pretty damn proud that this stuff rocked our tastebuds and had no allergens or nasties!
So here’s some pics of my gorg food. I’m just a smidge proud of this. Scott proclaimed it looked like a restaurant platter. I not-so-humbly totally agreed.
Come closer…
For Scott’s I added some soy nuggets and cashews, and some salad because we were running outta the Thai Peanut Action. And of course, I wasn’t sharing mine.
Back to the yummy factor of the peanut dressing, you can see it pooling a bit in the bottom of the bowl. Is it considered poor ettiquette to drink your dressing when you’re done with your food? Didn’t think so.
For Dessert, I whipped up Scott some nanna softserve in said VitaGod.
2 Frozen Nannas, dash lowfat nilla almond milk, dash sugar, dash NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia, dash TJ’s bourbon vanilla extract.
And I threw it on a bed of Vanilla Chia Pudding
For myself, I kept it low key with this TJ’s find.
I only had 2 squares. Promise. If it’s dark e-nuff, two’s e-nuff.
Earlier in the day I went to HomeGoods. Never been in one before…dangerous, very dangerous ladies. If you have just moved into a new pad or if you’ve been in your current crib since the Reagan administration, this place is the Marshall’s/TJ Maxx of home furnishings. I picked up a few things. But used tons of restraint.
A bamboo expandable silverware drawer organizer for 19.99, 1 lone cute white bowl that Thai Peanut love was photo’ed in, and 1 lone towel. The only downside to this kinda place is that if you need a set you may be outta lucky. Oh well, I still felt pretty lucky with these scores.
And here was the wonders of the silverware organizer in my Go-To Utensil Drawer Numero Uno
And Drawer Numero Dos. I cannot stand messy stuff. It drives me nuts and I cannot function til everything is in it’s place. Do you have any weird, anal habits? I’ve got plenty. That’s just today’s scoop.
Yoga is Half-headstand, aka Arda Sirsanana. I even found you a video link (only watched the first 15 secs but it looked a-okay). I hope there are no foot fetish’ers reading…cuz these feet may just cure you of your fetish. Sorry bout the uber tootsie closeup.
In order to hang out in half headstand you need to lock your bandhas, tilt your pelvis backwards, and make everything feel like you’re tucking yourself and pointing backward into your spinal column. Hope that was as clear as mud.

My best friend must stay gluten free! I am sending her a link to your blog.
