It’s the first Humping Hump Day of the New Year! How has yours been? I’ve been a busy girl! I taught yoga Tuesday night, and am en route to teach another yoga class in just a little bit. I went grocery shopping, did my daily one two loads of laundry (between a toddler, workout clothes, sheets, towels, you name it, my washing machine and I are BFF’s whether I want to be or not), I cleaned my floors because I am anal and if I feel any little rocks or toddler crumbs beneath my feet it skeeves me, so I am a Swiffer maniac, too! And I’ve been busy in the kitch. More on that in a minute.
But first, thanks for your feedback on everything from the trashy & mindless TV shows you love (and oh yeah, I forgot to say how the Kardashian Girls are also high on my list of guilty pleasures!) but I was glad to hear your thoughts about Product Reviews. If you missed the post and care as it seems some of you are like Whatever regarding products reviews, I reviewed everything from Dr. Flackers Crackers
To Pro Bars
And I had a Blogger Meetup with Madeline, too!
But Let’s Move On…
Today I decided to make Scott a batch of Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconut Snowballs. If you missed the full recipe, click here.
I added the shredded coconut flakes, maple (use agave to be truly raw), coconut oil, cocoa powder, and a dash of vanilla…
…Stirred it Together.
And popped the chocolaty goodness into the freezer for safekeeping….
…Til it was time to dig out some chocolate coconut snowball lovin’ and put it in a bowl.
Good stuff. Again, the Recipe info is right here.
I also had a hankering for my Raw Vegan Apple Crumble. I haven’t made this is a couple months and was missing it!
If you missed this one, click here for the full recipe info.

I made up the oats, dates, and almond flour crust and sprinkled it with cinnamon.
Made an Apple, Cinnamon, Vanilla Extract, & Agave Filling
Then I Topped the Crust & Apple Filling:
with Oats, Almond Flour, and Brown Sugar (not raw so omit if you’re a raw purist) which make up the Crumbly Topping.
Perfect!
Don’t Drink the Cinnamon-Agave-Vanilla Extract Juice that is running off your apples & seeping through the container even though you want to.
And you know what, you can warm it up in the microwave if you’re really wanting to feel un-raw and all warm and toasty inside! Again, here’s the Full Recipe Info!
And Apple Crumble goes Great with Banana-Bourbon Vanilla Softserve!
And if you don’t have Bourbon-Vanilla, Any Vanilla Extract (or skip it!) works wonderfully!
Scoop the luscious softserve into a bowl.
In addition to living on making desserts, I also got into a whole lot of greenery: Raw Kale, Mixed Greens, Cukes, Cauli, Brock, and Tomatoes
with my Homemade Vegan Slaw Dressing. Sweet, tangy, perfect.
And for dessert, although the Vegan Peanut Butter (Sunflower Seed Butter!) Vanilla Balls are really amazing….
…so are the Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconut Snowballs.
And so is the Raw Vegan Apple Crumble?
Which one do you want a bite of? The Snowballs…
….or the Apple Crumble?
Or the Softserve?
The Answer is: Sample a little of everything, smorgasbord style!!!!!

Scott took this photo of me during my morning practice in Aruba. The house was warm, in the high 80s perfect for yoga, the morning sunlight was streaming in, and life was warm, lovely, and blissful being on vacation with my family. A great memory for me indeed! Stress-Free and Perfect!
Tip of the Day: Manage Your Stress!
Everywhere we turn there is stress.…financial worries, family drama, toxins in the water supply, you name it, our bodies and minds are constantly being assaulted with stressors. If we don’t get a handle on our stress, it will overcome and damage every system in our bodies. My Naturopath recently wrote an article about Adaptogenic Herbs (herbs which adapt to the needs/uses of the person taking them…very cool!) and how they can help you.
I also believe that yoga is a great stress reliever. Not only because of the physical (asana) practice, but also through the calming of the mind, the centering of our mental energies, and the spiritual and emotional peace the practice brings us. For me, yoga is the ultimate stress reliever! Not only while I am on the mat, but as I carry my yoga practice through my life and with me off the mat, that’s yoga’s gift to me. Helping me in my “real life” to manage my stress long after I’ve stepped off the mat.
What do you do to relieve stress? Cry, scream, drink coffee, kick the dog (kidding!), talk on the phone with friends, watch mindless tv shows, eat chocolate, vent to your partner, knit, sew, exercise, meditate, practice telling yourself this too shall pass, do yoga? Any or all of the above? What else do you do to relieve stress? What works for you when life is feeling oh-so-stressful?!
Stay tuned for a few goodies I got in the mail…
